Hard to believe this car is near fifty year old. Point by point, having gone through it quite thoroughly, (as it arrived in our workshop) seems like an exceptional classic B.
Rebuilt engine with rebuilt SU carbs....runs flawlessly, 75 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke, 140-150psi compression, excellent clutch and trans, we checked the calipers, pulled the brake drums, most everything appears to be new. New master cylinders, oil cooler, nicely detailed engine bay, new splined hubs, new wheel bearings, new chrome knock offs, and a good set of wire wheels and radials. We even looked under the back and saw new shocks and shock links.
Excellent body, floors have been replaced, excellent rockers and inner sills, show quality (okay, maybe not Pebble Beach but for the kind of show held at the local firehouse), new top, boot cover, carpeted trunk, very clean interior in Camel, dash dyed to match, burled wood dash, VERY nice.
AND (when arrived)............no stereo, just the factory radio blank. Which, sociologically speaking, probably indicates this car was never owned (and abused) by a `kid.` A good sign. And now, we installed a modern dgital stereo.
Starts instantly, runs flawlessly, all gauges work, wipers, heater, lights, etc. A very nice, very clean chrome bumper MGB that makes the ideal temperature weather classic sports car, easily cruises at 80+ mph, fun on winding country roads, even as daily transport.
Drive in cold weather? We can supply a powerful supplemental heater unit, in my own two MGBs, comfy cozy even down to 15 degrees AND we can offer either a factory or quality aftermarket hardtop.
Hot weather? Can also supply an efficient, powerful air conditioning unit that integrates nicely with the dashboard, AND basically, the ideal all around compromise in a very usable yet classic sports car. (and IF you want a nice, modern stereo, no extra charge).
