A very attractive MG Midget just finished and ready for a fun season of driving.
Found it near Boston, excellent body, floor has had some work but is rust free....we can see some factory floor panels installed And no undercoating hiding anything.....all metal. And red paint is very nice.
Chrome is very good as is trim. Mostly new interior, seats, carpets, etc, no rips in the dashboard. Has a new convertible top and a very good boot cover. We installed new Minilite style alloy wheels with new radials.
Brakes are new.....rotors, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, flex lines and some metal lines. And all work well. Engine seems to be in excellent condition, no smoke, excellent oil pressure and 150 psi compression in every cylinder. Common for Midgets, 1st gear is a bit worn and noisy but works well and the rest of the gears are all in excellent condition. Clutch doesn't slip or chatter.
Steering is light and precise (we just installed new tie rod ends), exhaust quiet, has new 3 point seat belts, leather MG steering wheel, spare wheel/tire and jack/lug wrench, all gauges and electricals work, and it doesn't really miss a beat. And a new digital stereo with bluetooth and new speakers. We also have, in stock, a complete wire wheel conversion so this is available.
While no problem keeping up with traffic at 65-70 mph, clearly, this car is best for the proverbial drive in the countryside. For the price, size, and 'fun factor,' just about perfect.
