A car we just resurrected for its owner, had been sitting for a number of years, came in not running.
We did a lot of work for the last owner.....compression was excellent and by the time we had the engine running, wasn't smoking and excellent oil pressure. And, down the road, clutch and gearbox were both fine.
We replaced the brake master cylinder, front calipers, wheel cylinders, check the condition of the front end (was fine), went through all of the electrics (all gauges working, same with lights, wipers, heater, and horn). Paint was, for the most part, oil and tired and now with new paint, looks great. Likewise, we installed new seat cushions and parts of the carpets, new dash top, interior is quite nice.
Has an oil cooler, radiator looks very good, excellent original wiring, a new digital stereo with classic looks (knobs instead of buttons) and SU carbs were recently rebuilt (and work perfectly). Car has wire wheels and, overall, is a nice, clean MGBGT. And as an MGBGT Mk II has such refinements as twin circuit brakes, a much stronger all synchromesh transmission and a far better differential/back axle.
