A friend's car who has owned it for a few (trouble free) years. And has now decided to move on to an alternate car (I think it is a Ferrari 250GTO).
58,000 original miles, excellent body and floor, NO RUST, more than presentable BRG paint, brand new convertible top, very tidy interior (mostly new), modern stereo, full tonneau cover. Chrome is either all original and excellent or new, dash is excellent and everything works (even the heater), has the late model '10cc' 1098cc engine (with the heavier duty 2" main bearings), perfect compression (165-180 psi) and oil pressure (65 psi when hot), no smoke, twin SU carbs. It always starts instantly, runs flawlessly, and doesn't miss a beat.
Wire wheels, disc brakes, banjo style steering wheel, spotless rust free trunk, excellent wiring and electrics. A VERY nice example of this sixty plus year old classic sports car.
As a Mk III, has roll up windows, a very nice fitting top, good working heater, superior ride with rear half elliptical springs, and disc brakes. Rated at 59hp and, from enjoying driving this car, each of those 59 horses is working very nicely. Revs nicely, excellent ride, great steering and handling,, every gauge works properly and looks like new, all in all, a very nice little classic that can be used every day.
