A beautifully done, nut and bolt restoration to a very high standard. And as a 'B' model, rather rare with only 3334 and this one is the 88th built.
Excellent rust free body in show quality red (note ;mirror image' paint quality), excellent chassis and floor panels. All new Camel interior, new top and side curtains, new boot cover, all new chrome, wire wheels, rebuilt 2138cc engine and all synchromesh transmission, rebuilt SU carbs, new wiring, upgraded with an alternator, also GREATLY improved with a rack and pinion kit (we have installed a few, over the years, and cost for parts and labor is well beyond $3,000....but the result is a wonderful solution to one of a TR3s weakest points, the steering), beautifully detailed engine compartment.
Trunk is spotless, even has the proper leather strap securing the spare wheel, all proper working instruments, new seat belts, new calipers and rotors, new master cylinders, all new metal and flex brake lines, new sway bar, not even the slightest seepage from the differential housing, new premium Alpine stereo/CD, rumor has it that over $60,000 was invested in the restoration (and looks the part), and the list continues.....
So the result is a car, similar in use and performance, to a Morgan (bet far superior ride and steering), effortless to get most any part, rated at a 110mph top speed, perfect for touring use, shows, around town, or the perfect proverbial country drive. And with the rack and pinion steering, offers excellent drivability.
