A beautiful example, new black paint on a very straight body. Excellent chassis and floors. And all of the chrome appears to be new.
All original gauges and switches work, runs 75+ oil pressure when hot, pulls strongly, and doesn't smoke. Also an excellent gearbox. Brakes were all rebuilt or replaced, stops very well.
BEST OF ALL, this car has been converted to rack and pinion steering. An expensive adaptation but offers a substantial improvement over the archaic steering found on pre TR4 Triumphs. Certainly a several thousand dollar addition. And makes for a wonderful driving TR3.
Top and side curtains appear to be new, same with the tonneau, and the entire interior looks to be new. All done in deep red with white piping.
Car has wire wheels, very clean engine bay and trunk compartment, and is a wonderful classic sports car with disc brakes, 110mph performance, very good ride, handling, and steering. Certainly sufficiently clean to be 'showable' if not a serious show competitor. But as a classic road car, it really doesn't miss a beat. The torquey 100 horsepower engine pulls strongly, has better brakes than most of its competitors, most of the aesthetics have been done, has new seat belts and an ancient radio (we can upgrade) and the black with red interior is outstanding.
